take wight or mini golems level 1 if your jungler lets you, give him a box to help him out with buff and then take the wight or golems yourself, this means you will scale with your adc instead of your adc getting too far ahead of you and then start maxing your e, plant boxes behind your waves and in jungling paths in order to not get ganked, place them in places where enemies might walk but are not too obvious.
next focus on zoning the enemy with high ap shivs, an athens early is really good for this, the mana regen lets you spam the poke. keep your jungle warded and focus on zoning out the enemy so your adc gets fed, don't take all the kills but minions > champions in the long run so kills don't really matter all that much
finally in the late game you exist to help zone and to aid in ambushes, I would get something like a void staff or deathfire to max out your cdr and just go nuts with the shivs. also get a sight stone early on like all good supports, your support gold item is up to you but focus on ap and utility, also maybe a rod of ages or similar high hp item if you can afford it so that you can have two semi tanky decent damage and slowing shacos, one of which has an 8 second flash
