Why the change to Graves' splash?
Removed his cigar and make it blurry, why? What purpose does this serve? It was PERFECTLY FINE

In certain region, it is forbidden to promote smoking, even if it's not intentionnal. That's why. RiotSilver explains it here
And yes, they could have made different artworks for different regions but the goal of these new splash is to have the same thing on every region.
