Just a question about Champion Mastery

So, I have been playing some Nami (who is currently free this week) and gotten her close to Mastery 3. I do not own Nami nor do I have the IP to buy her. What happens to the Champion Mastery Points when I buy Nami? Do they stay in the "Top 8 Champion with Highest Mastery " page or what?

They stay the same. Kalista was my highest mastery adc for a while at mast 4 before I finally bought her.
