Every release the oldest 6300 IP champ is reduced to 4800, and every 3rd release an additional 4800 or lower champ is reduced a price tier. I don't know how they choose the 4800 or lower champion though. (Singed was actually reduced when Taliyah came out)

Amumu was lowered too. Used to cost 1350 last season. Now 450 as well.
