Nami vs Sona (1v1)

So I'm just going to put this out there in a straight way. My friend and I have been fighting over who is a better support. Not a supporty support but one that does decent dmg. So we've decided that we're going to 1v1 each other sometime soon. I'm going as and my friend . Who do you guys think will be better in a 1v1? I have both experienced them in mid and I'm leaning more towards but my friend who only knows about says that she's better. So we're having a friendly 1v1 to see who is the better support dmg wise. Chances say that my friend won't know how to play against a main like me.

EDIT: I would think that Nami has more cc and even if sona has her E, if Nami uses her E she shouldn't fall behind that much due to her passive plus her ult's slow and speed boost can help her land an extra Q.
