Support Incentives

Has anyone ever thought of giving support players a reason to play support other than gameplay reasons? For instance, the most obvious one I can imagine is Hextech Crafting.

What if we let support champions in the support role be capable of earning more than one chest a season? Or give those champions higher key fragment drop rates? Or even be capable of dropping keys without winning the game?

Hextech Crafting is such a good medium in which to grant rewards to those who deserve it, whether it be through carrying, or by supporting your carry. As an avid support main, I can't say I don't like the role, but at the same time, I am slowly losing the ability to enjoy the role.

Any other ideas for giving incentive to play the support role would be greatly appreciated and I'd love to hear about them too.

These ideas of giving supports more IP and junk like that for playing the role don't actually fix any underlying issues people have in the first place. There's no substance to a fix like that.

You don't have to win to get a key fragment, I get them on losses all the time.
