Is there a way to get Legacy skins when they are not currently on the store?

Ok so before I say anything I am pretty new to league and can't find much info on this subject, let alone recent info. So, I am coming here to ask if there is any way to get legacy skins when they are not in the League of Legends store currently? Some really old posts have talked about "Skin codes" but I don't know if that is recent information and if they still work. If they do work, are there any websites that are trustworthy to sell skin codes? I have noticed so far that I enjoy playing support, and assassins (Mid & Jungle.) I have recently started playing LeBlanc and I am looking for a skin for her, but I definitely do NOT like any of the skins that are currently on the market, but like all of the legacy skins. Thanks in advance

No, skin codes are no longer in production and were given a very limited duration because they were so frequently used in scam sites like you're looking for. Do not ever attempt to purchase skins from a third party.

As for simply how to get Legacy skins, they come out of the 'Vault' frequently for special events (like holidays) individually and in bundles. You can also get them in Mystery Gifts and through Hextech loot. Sometimes Riot will unlock Mystery Skins you can purchase for yourself (as opposed to needing to be sent as a gift).

There are a couple skins you can get for free from Riot, though. Riot Girl Tristana and Dreadknight Garen, which you can find out about here; https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/202083184-Promotional-Content-Free-Swag-

There is one more which was a promotion through Youtube, but the redemption process was always broken so they removed it. It was Unchained Alistar, but you can still get it if you submit a Support Ticket and request it. Blitzcrank Bot will add it to your account automatically.

Any new Riot promotions will be found through one of their three official sites; lolesports.com, leagueoflegends.com, or riotgames.com. If it isn't on or linked there, don't try it.
