Tristana's Rocket Jump Feedback!

Hi everyone!

Bronze III player, here. I'd like to discuss Tristana. Specifically her jump, W.

Tristana is my favorite adc, especially for solo queue. Great burst, good pusher, quick objective taker (turret, Dragon, etc) because of her Q steroid, great range at higher levels (great for being behind her team and dealing tons of damage!), she can re-position herself with W, and peel for herself with R. I've played almost 100 ranked games with her.

The thing that I notice, is that her jump doesn't really act like a jump. I'm not sure if this was done on purpose, or not. But here are some examples that I've encountered.

She can't jump over Ziggs' Hexplosive Minefield. It triggers it in the air just like she would've if she just walked over them. That one actually costed my life, once.

She can't jump over Rammus' Powerball. One game Rammus wanted to gank me from behind my turret to my lane. I was waiting for him in a brush. He was getting close to me so I decided to jump over him. He did not hit me. He hit me while I was in the air, in the middle of the jump and just brought me down.

It's the same for Caitlyn's Yordle Snap Trap, and Teemo's Noxious Trap. And I bet it's also for Jinx's Flame Chompers.

And when someone stuns me in the middle of the jump, my jump just cancels and I fall down. (Now that one I do understand, but I still think it would be better if she gets stunned right after the jump is over.)

So this is my opinion on Tristana's Rocket Jump. First, I would like to know if this is intentional or not. If so, what are your thoughts in making it that way? I assume it is intentional, and I do realize CC stops her jump. But I think since it's a jump, that it should act like a jump. Jump over CC, things, traps, people! Not just walls!

I know you're busy, Riot. But I just want to say you're doing a great job, and you're a great company! I appreciate everything you do for us! Keep up the good work! :)

This isn't only for Trist, this is for any champion that gets airborn, they will still be struck by ground level attacks/traps/spells etc. I think the reason this is is because they don't want to have to add another dimension to the game, it seems it would take an extreme amount of work to do so. I noticed this the most with Aatrox, and Jayce, I'd be hit by ground level spells and stuff while in my "dunk" animation, stopping it completely and dying during it many times, almost makes the whole animation pointless. I think it'd be good for this to somehow be fixed.

Yeah I don't think that Teemo's shrooms would be that stealthy if they were big enough to hit you 20ft in the air, lol.

Trist's jump is a "dash," similar ro graves e or corki's w. A "blink" would be like ezreal e or kassadin r. Dashes technically move over terrain, so it would be only logical that trist would hit traps even though the animation is a jump. However, to make trist's jump avoid traps will also make her be able to avoid other things like an ezreal ult. That would be far too overpowered as well as unfair to the champions with just a dash.
