To whom ever was my teammates in my Poppy Leave

I am so sorry that I left at the start of the game, My dog was currently having a seizure and had to tend to it; she is currently stable and the seizure lasted more than a hour ( One of the worst kinds of seizures yet) I saw that you guys got stomped on at the match history and I could've been able to provide a better outcome for us all. Please Pardon my leave teammates, but in my opinion a life is more important than a match.

Edit: Thank you everyone! Princess, My Dog, is doing fine and taking heavy medication. Side note, I did not make this board to be thinking it was gonna reach Popular just to let my team know why I left. Thank you all for your support

Nobody blames you man. Important issues in the real worlds should always take precedence over a video game ;)

Riot doesn't care. Leaver buster doesn't care.

To Riot, you and your dog, just ruined the experience of 9 other players. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Seriously, if you think your dog might have a seizure, you shouldn't be playing. Same with Crappy internet, any chance a loved one might need to be rushed to a hospital, if a typhoon might knock over your house. If it isn't a perfect day, with no problems what-so-ever, you shouldn't be leaguing.

I wasn't one of your team mates or anything so I hope my comment isn't misleading. But you shouldn't have to apologize. League is a game, and a life is a life. It's obvious which one is more important. I hope your dog's condition get's better. You should take it to the vet, and get medication for it's condition. If it's the same as my German shep then it won't entirely stop the seizures but it will make them much more rare, and less severe.

Best of luck to your pup. I had to leave in the middle of a match two weeks ago to take mine to the emergency vet after she was throwing up and unable to walk. She ended up being diagnosed with a vestibular condition, but has now made a great recovery and is getting around great. It sounds like the vet was able to help you as well. Good luck where it matters (in life, not in LoL)!

I had to AFK multiple times over the course of a few matches when my cat was dying of old age.

As her body started shutting down she had periodic seizures. She was laying in her bed by the heating vent in the wall, and every time she seized her head would bang uncontrollably against the wall. Every time it happened I'd hear her grunting strainedly and hear her bashing herself helplessly against the wall. Whenever it happened I dropped what I was doing to run over and hold her head so she didn't beat her own brains in, then pet her until she she loosened up and stopped staring into space.

So, from one owner of a seizing pet to another: I feel your pain, don't stress too much about missing a match. Your randoms will get over it, or they can just go get over themselves. Tending to your pet is more important.

if this happened to my dog I would immediately leave the game and take my puppy to the nearest vet/petsmart/w/e

riot disagrees with you

I was with you to your whole "life is more important than a match," which sounds kind of dickish the way you say it even though it's not supposed to sound dickish. Anyway, hope the dog is doing ok. That's an awful ailment to have and I imagine it's hard to monitor.

Glad to know your dog is okay. Seriously, this is a legit reason to leave a game. With seizures, you don't know exactly when they will happen, so it can be difficult to do other things, let alone play LoL. And yet Riot wants to punish people like you. Well, point is, your dog is okay. :)

That's too bad :( The worst part is you'll still get the leaver mark and be placed in a lower priority queue/get banned.

No one cares why you left, fact is you left a game and ruined 4 (or 9) other players' experience.

slippykitten12/9/2014, 5:13:55 PM2 votes

Exactly, and thats why you dont have to feel bad about the ban you deserve. You had to do what you had to do, no hard feelings, but consequences have to be fair.

Hope your dog is okay. :(

I hope the leaver buster system bans you.

AetherKingdom12/9/2014, 3:29:20 AM1 votes

Why teh fuk are you apologizing. leaving is a part of the game. if i dont feel like playing, i leave. if i wanna do something else, i leave. I've never felt sorry once for any of my team mates who lost.

Eleshakai12/9/2014, 2:51:28 PM1 votes

You made the right decision... it's sad that a lot of people around here won't recognize that... but you did. I hope your dog gets better and if I was one of your teammates I wouldn't have had a problem with you leaving.

It's sad that you're getting a flag on your account for something like this, and I hope it doesn't lead to their new crappy system punishing you :(
