Ban message says person that retaliates will receive punishment, yet did not, so why lie?

Team was griefing me for "dying" in mid lane. I didn't say a single thing until they started complaining about me. Even when the jungler came and died mid, I didn't say a word. Then they start griefing me, and they report me after game. The message to my email says people who retaliate get punished also but he's still online, so why lie about it? You're not punishing anyone other than the victims of mob justice. Oh, even better, you don't include anything else they said in the case so there's no context? Right. What moron came up with this shitty system?

If I retaliated, then they initiated, which means they should have still been banned, and were not. So what's the difference?

We don't have enough info to really say. Maybe you have incidents like this regularly and it was a rare occurrence for them. Maybe what you said was worse. Maybe not enough people reported them.

Their chat isn't shown because it has no baring on your case. You aren't allowed to retaliate so it doesn't change anything if what you said was in response to them. If you want people to comment on your ban you really should post your reform card.

Also if I remember correctly it says something like "often in cases of retaliation the other person is also punished". Its important to understand that its a form letter sent to everyone who gets banned.

and they will be ban if others reported them. The reason why you dont see others people chatlog from your report is because they arent the ones who got reported. you are suppose to learn that those types of actions have consequences just like in real life! Like i said assuming they continue to act like that people will report them and they will be punished!
