Champ select troll

It sucks that there is nothing you can do for this without also simultaneously punishing/threatening good players. This just happened to me and after a streak of losses i wanted to have a good, relaxed game. First game of the day and this happens to me, what makes it worse is that the enemy didn't even pick the champions he wanted to ban and yet he still decided to attempt to troll. I did dodge the game but that punishes me and i'd rather not sit through 20-30 minutes just so i can report him for something that happened in champ select which i'm pretty sure we are unable to do. item 3070 item 3070 Are there any ideas that can try to help stop this that wont also hurt honest players? If you add a votekick system any 4-man group could votekick the one random for not allowing the group go the positions they want. If a report system is added you could get reported for going an out of meta champ or whatever wasn't played in the LCS. Any ideas?

send a ticket in with an un edited version of that screen shot. That way Riot can punish him for intentionally trolling and being toxic.

^ What he said.

Additionally, it's worth keeping in mind that the dodge penalty isn't really a punishment, so much as a self-defense mechanism. If dodging was free, players would dodge over basically anything - trolls, certainly, but also seemingly strong enemy picks, seemingly weak team picks, disagreement over bans, disliking a name... I'm sure someone some where would be dodging just to dodge.

And that might not seem bad until you realize that it would mean virtually every lobby would wind up dodged. It's not hard to imagine a dodge-happy community taking an hour or more to actually start a game.

When the LP penalty for Ranked dodging was removed for a time, it created a drastic increase in queue times, for exactly this reason.

dat sucks, i feel u, and i send a mail, reports, ticket to try and stop dat kind of a players being able to continue trolling in champ select etc but all my efforts seems to be complete waste of time , sometimes i think dat all that talk about healthy community and summoner code is just a load of ****.

i came up with an idea to ban people from playing with you but riot could care less. all they care about is making money so bump. btw rioters never come to this board because this is where they send all the posts they don't want to deal with.

There was no other board i could think to place this on but thanks. its not like i hate Riot i think they do a good job on the game its just that this is a very difficult situation because anything you do to punish bad players can also be used against the nice players. Also i feel if you ignore/report someone you should not be able to play games with them but this also effect diamond/challenger players with much fewer people. if you ignore too many people you just wont be able to play anymore

at that elo they're aren't trolls or afk's it's mostly team comps and what not.

Any system that adjusts matchmaking by any metric beyond gameplay would be incredibly disruptive to the validity of the ranking system, to say nothing of increased queue times. It's simply not workable.

since ranked is so valid atm

and i would take an increased queue time compared to playing a 50 minute ranked game just to lose due to trolls.

technosavage1 votes

also you forgot the imo since you are not an expert on the validity of the ranked system.

While I'm not an expert on the validity of the ranked system (and make no claims to be), even as a layperson I can recognize the disruption inherent to externally imposed restrictions on matchmaking.

Good point. It's perfectly reasonable to take a flawed system and make it completely meaningless. After all, if it's not perfect, it's already worthless, right?

sigh.
