Why am I bad because I play a FOTM (Sejuani)?

I happen to like playing Sejuani quite a bit. I even played her a moderate amount pre-Cinderhulk.

That said, I can't help but feel bad because people whine at me for picking a FOTM champion. Is there something wrong with me picking Sejuani? She's the epitome of tanky tanks! Lots of CC, % max health damage, and AOE damage that scales with HP! It's so delicious!

Why should I feel bad about playing a champion I like and am good with?

well at low elos kat is beyond linear (aka easy)

wait for teamfight/shunpo/ult/profit

maybe against better players she needs more skill, but her initial skillcap is hyper low

You shouldn't feel bad about Sejuani. She's not particularly easy to play. Not really hard, but not easy by any means. It's not like you're playing Katarina at least. And it's their fault for not banning her if they think she's that overloaded. Personally I think she is... but I ban her lol.

/[ALL] Because you stomped me with a strong champ so now I need to be butthurt and salty and find a reason to explain you being unskilled despite beating me.

Nothing wrong with it. They can ban.

Is she overpowered? Definitely. Sejuani is probably one of the best, if not the best champion in League given her innate tankiness, synergy with an equally powerful item, massive crowd control, and damage scaling off her health.

She essentially "does" everything. The tank aspect of her is an instant win against assassins, and the % health damage puts her ahead of other tanks, leaving the only champions to contest her fighters and ADCs who build BoTRK.

However, that doesn't mean she is unfair in ranked. The enemy team could always ban her or pick her for themselves. If they let you have Sejuani, it is their fault, and you SHOULD capitalize on that.

Besides, there will always be broken champions in League, and one of them will always be the best of them all. WW dealing 1.5K + damage in a combination of physical, magical, and true damage in one ability did not stop people from playing him. Nor did Rek'sai's original Q that gave her more damage than 3 champions put together or Yasuo's original E that did 50% of an enemy's health bar at level 1 stop people from playing them either.

Trying to win in League isn't wrong, it is what should be done to begin with.
