How is ranked mmr based in duo q?

If im silver and i play with a friend who is bronze 5 will i get matched with people based on my mmr or his? Or is it based on the hosts of the parties mmr?

I believe it 'averages' the mmr, so your teammates and enemies will be roughly between your two mmr's
