How does low priority queue work?

Someone in a ranked game I was in crashed and even though he came back 4 minutes later he said it put him in low priority queue at the end of the game. Do I have to worry about getting low priority from one crashed or would it have to happen like a lot?

Side note, I do feel sorry for him as he went 11/0/10 jungling hecarim, he shit stomped the enemy team.

One crash won't be a big deal however the system is more aggressive in ranked queues. It would have to multiple times but I'm not sure on the exact number times it would have to happen as I have never been put in a low priority queue.

In ranked, it can take as few as one occurrence to get hit by low prio(there is a direct quote from Lyte saying those exact words and I've heard examples of it to back it up). Lyte said that if you're back within a few minutes it isn't supposed to flag you as a leaver but every single piece of anecdotal evidence I've ever heard disagrees with that so I'm not sure what to believe.

Nobody knows the exact specifics though. It's a pretty ambiguous system.

The FAQ does say you can be punished for 1-2 games but I think that is just trying to make it sound scary. In reality the first leave is a warning message that makes you type "I agree" and I don't think that I have heard of a single person getting a leaverbuster punishment for less than 3 leaves. Really I think leaverbuster is mostly concerned with the percentage of games you complete. So a leave from a person that has left 1 in a 1000 games isn't treated the same as someone who leaves 5 out of ever 100.
