Did anyone actually buy the Chroma Packs?

I think most of us agree that Chroma Packs costing RP to buy is such a rip-off, especially since it takes less than 5 mins to recolor and all Riot have to do is giving them some awkward names. I'm just curious, does anybody actually buy them? Cause I think it supports Riot's idea of money-grabbing even though it can be launched a lot more creatively by tying it up with champion mastery.

inb4, some white knights be like "it's 3 skins for one lel", "nobody forces you to buy them"

I've seen one person with a Lucian chroma. Other than that, nothing, and for good reason. It's a colossal ripoff to charge that much RP (or just RP in general) for something that looks like it takes minimal effort to do.

My only problem with chromas is that they come in the 3 packs. I will never care about having more than 1 so to me it might as well be 590rp for 1. 200 each seems fine to me but as long as they are bundled I'll never buy any.

I'd buy them IF They did them for champs I like. So far they haven't... well; I like Jax, but I prefer his classic skin. :P

I'd like to see them for some champs that don't have a lot of skins like Zac, Zed, Jinx, or Fiora.

Also on a personal level, I'd like one for Ashe that turns her into a Drow with a Purple and black cloak! :3

I haven't actually seen a single one in game since their release. 590rp for a very simple recolour, as people only tend to buy them for one of the colours not all three of them, just seems too much for what you get.

Why even post? You obviously just want a "Chromas too much" circle jerk... so why not post "Chroma negative opinion circle jerk" as the Title?

I bought the Leona Chroma pack and it's awesome. I love the blue colors, and think was worth to get a new look for her.

The issue I see in chromas is that some of them are on skins itself.

I saw a Lucian and Fizz chroma. 2 people using these, and there's like 7 of them already, and it has been a few weeks since release.

In comparison, when Forsaken Jayce was released, I saw at least 5 of the same skin in a week.

I've seen a couple Lucians, and like one Garen.

I'm surprised about the lack of Blitz and Fizz chromas. I thought those would be popular.

The problem imo is that the people who do buy RP want the better skins like Void Fizz and iBlitz. I really don't think Recolors should be for RP, and they should instead be for something like Champion Mastery. But the sad truth is it's probably Chroma's for RP or no Chroma's.

I bought the lee sin one so I can make him look even more like Bruce lee and i bought the Lucian one just cause I like the ercolors a ton more then his classic look.

I got the pool party leona one but that was just a sort of "just because". Unless their is some chroma with a nice looking recolor, i don't think they are really worth often.

seriously, riot fucked up on this one. They should have done this like in Smite, where as you reach a certain lvl you can later purchase a gold/diamond skin of ur champ, but u can use the currency u get for every match.

riot should have done it where if you reach a certain mastery for a champ,lets say somewhere between lvl 5-10, you can get a chroma pack. There is no reason riot should charge RP for chroma packs and is a total ripoff. they should be ashamed.

I liked the idea of recolors. Should it be a reward for Champion Mastery? Most definitely. However, I really do like the Fizz Chroma pack.

So far none of them are for champions/skins that I play at all. But as soon as I see a blue Chroma for Lulu, Janna, Nami, Wukong, or Zac, it's mine. Though I'm really hoping there will be an option to purchase an individual Chroma skin without being forced to buy the pack; with the current system, two-thirds of the product is guaranteed to go to waste for me.

I swear to god the people who complain about this need help. This is a free to play game and they need revenue. Yeah they may make more money than any company really needs but that's why it's free to play. Don't buy it. Not a white knight, just tired of kids complaining about someones game and expecting to get it for free.

I didn't buy them, because the only one that was for a skin I like (Leona) had no options that I preferred to the default palette.

I have the Koi Nami Element chroma pack and even though they're just recolors, they're awesome! I also like associating different chromas with different build types :)

I saw a yellow Lucian once. The rest of us with real skins gave him hell for it. He knows what he did wrong now.

I love Lucian and nearly bought the pack for him, but I'm having trouble stomaching the idea that if this gets off the ground, this is how it's going to be for a lot of skins and champs. As someone who has spent about $300 on skins alone, most of which were on sale at half price, I cannot even imagine if I had to pay 590 RP for 1 color of a skin I like for all the champs I like.
