How the hell do I carry trash? [Rage/Rant/QQ Thread]

Im bad at adc·5/29/2015, 7:15:16 PM·1 votes·843 views

I was gold III just two weeks ago. I went on a loss streak mainly because I got put on tilt and just started playing not as well as I normally do. Now I'm gold V atm and due to the MMR drop I get paired with a lot of silvers and then gold V-IV occasionally. I'm not a silver level player, I proved that this season when I got gold and obviously when I climbed to gold III. However it seems that 90% my teammates are not mechanically good, have little game knowledge or sometimes both. It's so irritating to play well and not be able to carry because your team just isn't good. For example I was 10/1 on Ashe and I told my team very clearly "peel for me, don't let their tanks get on me, I can kite but you guys need to peel". But instead of peeling during fights they use all their cc to initiate, I get collapsed on and die, rinse and repeat until we lose.

There's the QQ/Rant/Rage part of the thread.

The actual point is how the hell do I carry trash teammates. I'm an ADC main so a lot of it depends on if my support isn't trash. I mean, I can stay alive in lane but if my support feeds over kills and get's their carry ahead then it's hard to recover.

EZ. the best thing, if you want to carry high quantities of trash, is to get a bag and put the trash into that bag. if you have a trashcan with a bag installed it makes things a lot easier. then you take the bag with the trash and carry it wherever you please, though i advise to take the trash out to the dumpster. Some people carry a lot of trash in their purses/bags. A lot of people (you belong into that category) carry a lot of trash in their mind. They pollute their common sense with ridiculous motions like: "I got put on tilt" and "my teammates..." and "[I] play well and not be able to carry because your team just isn't good" and "I'm not a silver level player" Take out the trash friend. Clear your mind. Admit: You are where you are because you belong there. It makes life lighter. It will unburden you and make you free to better yourself.

Now to your claim: "I proved that this season when I got gold and obviously when I climbed to gold III" maybe someone carried your trashy ass to gold III. who knows. maybe you just didnt belong there! WHO KNOWS. There is only one fact: you are where you are because thats where you belong right now. if you belong in G3 you will get there. if you belong into silver again, you will get there.

Cheers!

The players may understand "peel" but they don't understand how to do that with their particular champion. In that case they aren't "trash" but simply inexperienced. The better way IMHO is to explain what you need. I've learned that at work, if I tell people to do something but don't go into any detail then I still get what I get. If I spend time communicating what I precisely need then I get what I want.

The first thing you should do is to stop viewing your teammates as trash. They might be having a bad game, or they could legitimately be terrible players, however showing them a little respect will do wonders for your own mental state. You cannot truly "solo carry", so you'll have to be ready to understand your allies strengths and weaknesses and use them to your advantage. The moment you consider them trash is the moment you stop being able to recognize their much needed (albeit somewhat lacking) strengths.

Secondly you have to realize that if you're going to try and solo carry you'll have to do it alone. You can use your allies, but it will be your mind controlling the game. Even your own champion is just a pawn in the actual game being played, so if you are being focused and your team can't figure out how to peel either don't put yourself in a position that is only safe if you had peeling or use yourself as a distraction rather than a carry. The goal isn't to keep your pawn alive, it's to take out the enemy's king.

Lastly recognize what carry means. If your team is bad and you can't carry it's not your team's fault. It is, of course, their fault for being as heavy as they are, but the act of carrying means you're pulling their dead weight. If you are not good enough to carry them that's on you. You may be good, but even the best players in the world can't win a 1v5. Some games you just cannot win, so just use them as a learning experience and forget the rest.
