4v5s have made me decide to quit League of Legends.

Goodbye League.

I'm tired of playing 4v5s. Three 4v5s recently and I lose 61 LP. How is this fair?! At this junction there is no point in even trying to climb the ladder. The rank doesn't reflect where I'm at. And don't tell me "it happens sometimes" because I'm sick of hearing that. You should be able to tell if a person is lvl 1 and hasn't moved from base the whole time and nullify the game somehow. I guess email me when you get this fixed and I'll come back.

Bye Felicia.

Stop bitching about it. Everyone gets them. Maybe if you are getting them frequently you should check your own attitude, because that could be a problem. Sounds like it could be.

What do you propose happens? Riot magically makes people see the true meaning of christmas so they never leave games? They put bots in instead so that people can get fed in what is still basically a 4v5?

You can't blindly give loss prevention for 4v5s, because that is extremely abusable. There is no way to ultimitely fix the fact that yes, sometimes life happens and people need to leave games. Riot should do something about games that are 4v5 from the start, but that is a small enough minority that it's not worth much time, and then creates awkward interaction around when those players actually come back. And even then, a system where 1 person doesn't show up could easily be abused; a duo goes into games, one person never shows up. The other gets elo for every time they win a 4v5 (which actually happens about 8% of the time) and loses no elo ever. They slowly but inevitably climb the rankings.

This is a game, and it will often be unfair. Maybe you'll end up against a diamond smurf and lose, or maybe your top lane will feed 20 kills to a hungry cho'gath. That's just how it goes. If these types of things make the game so it isn't fun for you anymore, don't play. But please stop complaining about complicated issues unless you can offer a feisable solution.

  1. I assume you'd like them to remove any LP and MMR you've ever gained from AFKs on the enemy team?

  2. Less sarcastically, the only way they can give "loss prevented" for 4v5s is if you also get "win prevented" when you win 5v4. Otherwise it breaks the Ranked ladder over time.

There is no way you lost 61 LP, I don't even think that is possible.

MMR matters, What your ranking is, does not. Your performance in games affects your MMR, and your MMR affects your ranking. If you perform above average in games, but still sit at a 50% win rate, you'll climb. A few games are no big deal, its just as likely to work against you as it is to work for you (Unless you Duo with someone who you know likes to often leave matches)
