So I played my first few ranked games....

So after my placements (which went exceptionally well if I say so) I was placed in silver 1 Wow! I must be doing good that's almkst gold! Well boy ... Was I wrong... After about 3 matches in my actual division I realized what everyone is talking about when they say feeders and afks. Why is it that only in ranked people dc 24/7 and why is it in in s1 queued against platinums with a team full of mid silvers? We had a Caitlyn rush boots and a essence reaver just to put that into perspective and the community is far from even remotely kind

So I'm sending this from s2 soon to be s3 So my real question is ... What do? I don't understand what I'm doing wrong to get queued with such dumb people? I really am trying and have almost a 3.0 kd on all my champs!

Basically if you cant do consistently well you won't climb. That's all really. Went from b5 to g5 this season following this simple premise.

If you can keep your performance consistent, you will climb the ladder! Yes, it can be frustrating when you lose a game here and there due to a D/C or some other non-gameplay-related issue, but in the long run you will be able to move up. Trust me. When I was first ranked, I was in bronze. I am now a Gold 5 player and basically play nothing but Solo queue. You have to play with the mentality that each loss is simply a minor setback.

just /mute all and focus on your own play and you will eventually climb. It can take a really long time and i honestly don't think it's worth it because every division is the same but if you really care about ranked it's something you must do.
