I really hope that I am not receiving the same Plat border as last seasons... It literally looks the same. Is this a joke?

they are reusing the same borders as last season, so yes, if you are the same rank as last year then you'll have the same border
I don't think this is something to be incredibly upset about
Borders don't change every season, that was an exclusive change that happened to occur at the end of last season. If you think it's ugly send a support ticket to get it removed.
