Tilted Field

**Why does Riot tilt the field in ranked? **That is, why is the merit of a game dependent on the outcome (e.g. -25 LP for a loss but +6 LP for a win)? It seems you need more than an exceptional win rate (>75%) to advance, as one loss can counter four wins. Even pros can't hold this win rate. This is on top of putting you up against better and better opponents regardless of your current rank. (It is my understanding that your MMR is independent of your Rank and Tier). Can someone explain the rationale to me?

Lol... at 55% win rate i get 25 - 31 lp per win and lose 12 - 18 per loss. Your MMR is just super poor.

So, if I hear your correctly, you are saying that you get more LP when playing weaker players than if you were playing better players? That doesn't make any sense to me at all. What would make sense if weaker players gained more LP for playing stronger players. You work harder, you get more reward. But, what I am hearing is the opposite is true. Weaker players are given and extra inhibition (above and beyond their own weakness) while stronger players are treated favorably with an easier path forward. How screwed up is this?
