I'm not sure if I just can't find the button or if it is no longer there, but I had some toxic people in a game of mine earlier and I wanted to mute them, but it was quite inconvenient to have to type "/mute " in chat.

hover over their champion icon or name. there should be a mute option
Hit tab and hover over the character image. the little speaker icon will pop up to mute
i think they said its a music icon or sumthin like that when you TAB, it should be by the champions name, sorry if im incorrect
