One reason why i dont like playing Tresh

I love Thresh because of the plays you can make, but what you said is 100% true. No one understands the process of clicking on the lantern..

I'll be honest, for the longest time I didn't know what the lantern did lol. I learned when one match, our started the game by going around to each person in chat and asking "Do you know what my lantern does!!" lmfao.

The best one is this:

throws out lantern to help someone -a literal 5 seconds later- does something really stupid -An ally has been slain - wtf thresh why didn't you lantern

And then 2 minutes later you give them the lantern and they dont take it

Personally, I dislike playing Thresh because exists.

I hate thresh because everything made by certainly T is broken as shit and toxic.

I like Thresh because I like his entire theme

I've dabbled at adc for a bit and I gotta say, it's so damn tempting to use your own dash or to just keep walking. And them I like: "Oh right lantern, fk, should I walk back?"

Same thing happens with Bards caretaker shrines, fight breaks out, ADC stays in lane at 20% health surrounded by 3 shrines even after you ping them. You need to type in chat before they collect them,

Yeah... it's one of those things that makes you want to cry for joy when people click it, even if you just threw it out as a shield for them.

That's why the red skin Thresh was invented OP. #Pay2win.

I remeber having an adc who i stopped to explain my lantern to litterlay seconds afterwards got stuck in a jarvan ult that i saved them from. The adc was just like oh cool and im like YOU ALMOST DIED!

It's frustrating when a big part of your kit relies on your teammates to actually make it useful and effective.

In all honesty thresh lanterns get me killed more than they save me, mainly because they are usually placed in a next to impossible minion wave or thrown behind me forcing me to back track towards chasing enemies. I'd rather die by my own mistake than an ill placed ally ability. I do grab them if I deem it a safe choice plus I play tank and give priority to squishies unless used as an engage

I think there should be an assignable button for interactions with abilities. There have been so many times when i'm trying so hard to click the lantern but it WILL NOT LET ME. And then there are other times when I'm trying to fight someone and i somehow click the lantern mid fight even though I'm certain I'm not clicking near it.

For me its usually Y DID U GRAB THE LANTERN YOU WERE FULL HEALTH WITH DASH?! TROLOLOL facepalm

I put the lantern to save someone being chased, and then someone else at FULL health near said person takes it instead, and the person I was trying to save is left to die, with tears in his eyes.... :(

lot of time the lantern does not work, especially if there are champions near you. Once again this show how bad this new mecanism is; and how riot fail recently in gameplay.
