Reporting has gotten way out of hand.
This has become ridiculous, and it needs to stop. People nowadays report for every minor thing they don't like, just because theres no penalty for doing so. People will report for disagreements, or just to get back at someone, even when it's not an offence of any kind.
For example, you'll do well as a Jungler and camp Mordekaiser top since he has no escapes and doesn't buy wards. Mordekaiser begins to rant in /all chat, and is upset with you because you're ganking him over and over. And after game he'll report you for whatever reason, just for the sake of reporting you. As in just to get back at you for giving him a hard time.
This happens every other game. Just got done playing a Dominion game as Rammus, I didn't say a single thing all game, but the enemy team Yi was upset since I always taunted him and killed him easily, I made it my mission to take him out every team fight. Again not a word said in game. We win the game, he starts to swear about how stupid and unfair Rammus is, I leave without saying anything. 2 min later "You have been reported for Verbal Abuse" window pops-up.
This is so frustrating, you'll get reported for anything and everything. You won your lane hard? Reported by enemy laner. You counter jungled well? Reported by enemy jungler. You didn't gank X's lane when he was losing 0-5? Reported by X player. You didn't defend mid's tower when it was pushed by 3 people and you had half hp? Reported by player in mid lane.
Nowadays it seems as if people will just report someone as in "That'll teach him to disagree with me", as if that gets back at them for whatever they did. "Ughh I'm so mad at how many times that lee sin ran away with low health, I'll report him to relieve this frustration!!"
This is just really frustrating to be on the receiving end of. There needs to be a penalty for players who abuse this system, as in if you report (let's say) 20 players without the player having done anything wrong, then your reporting privileges will be taken away for 30 games. I don't know, but something needs to be done here.
