@Riot Why are Normal games more evenly match than Ranked games?

Ranked games - a steamroll one way or the other. Not that fun no matter if you are winning or losing.

Normal games - last longer than 20 min, are good games with back and forth play, and come from behind victories. Much more fun.

How is matchmaking this screwed up?

I dont think its necessarily screwed up its just that by the time you hit 30 you've prob logged any were from 50-100+ games so Riot has an easier time matching you with other ppl on your skill level, as opposed to ranked where the first 5 your playing unranked matches and your still technically in elo hell even when you are in silver so its kind of a toss up of witch team has better communication.

I have the opposite experience. If I play normals it's always a horrible pubstomp one way or the other. I see almost no warding, people actively quitting, AFKing, or trolling, refusal to play support, and massive raging and negativity. In ranked, I get generally even matches and things work out (most of the time; occasionally the bad stuff shows up in ranked too).

Part of it is how often I play, I think. I play ranked almost elusively and only fall back to normals to try new characters and builds. This probably results in my MMR being horribly out of date in normals, since I have improved a lot since I started playing ranked. So I think it has more to do with how often you play each mode.

I think it's just an issue with the MMR. What I mean is, there are too many people both good and HORRID with the same MMR.

Replying here since we reached indentation level on the other topic.

So yeah, my answer
