Moving to Japan

Hey guys, I am just about to move to Japan as a foreign exchange student for one year. I really enjoy league, and love to play with my friends back here in the USA. I know a few people on my friends list play ranked on the NA server from Japan and are pretty good, and I was wondering if anyone had experience with the average ping over there when playing on NA servers. I know that I could switch to the Japan server, but I'm hoping to stay on NA so I can hang out and catch up in a game or 2 with a friend every once in a while. I should be moving to around Osaka, so internet should be pretty good. Thank you!

I get usually 27 ping on NA and 180-210 on Japan but it's like a very smooth 200 ping. It honestly feels like 70 ping on NA. Last hitting is slightly harder and you won't be able to play champions like Lee Sin and ADC probably won't work incredibly well but you should be fine.

On Japan server I get 15 ms; however, I get 220+ ms from Japan (Tokyo) to NA. If you stay in a school dorm with shared internet, expect worse. You're going to have trouble if you can't communicate in ranked - after all, pings can only do so much. Make sure you practice reading/typing fast enough.
