2 1/2 Years for Summoner name cleanse is too long!

From what i know it takes 2 and a half years for a name to be available. Where the Summoner has not played a game in that time. This is a ridiculously long time...

The name i currently want to change to has not played a game in close to 2 years, I would be willing to bet he doesn't care about his name if he cant manage to play 1 game IN 2 YEARS. I understand that names can be special to people, and its really cool to have a unique name in a big game like league. But it's pretty clear people don't care about the game if they don't play for that long.

I think it should possibly be dropped to 1 1/2 years. still leaves for a long time to play 1 game.

You do realize people go out for school, or join the military, or have other means that is more important. But that shouldn't mean they get their name taken away. Also note that the 2 1/2 year wait is for a level 30 account. So it's understandable why it's like that for a high level account.

If they haven't even logged on in 2.5 years I don't think they care about the name of their account, let alone the game in general lol

meanwhile level 1 accounts with 0 games played (exp bar is 0/88) maintain 6 month protection

Should be able to request it after a year. Rito then sends email to that person stating they have a week to log on or lose the name and be given a free name change.

yeah i wanted my xbox gamertag as my summoner name but someone has it and never plays and has played maybe 6 games since i started playing in 2012
