Have you guys ever had a long day at work, whatever your job may be, and you just want to come home and unwind with a couple of games of League?

Have you guys ever gotten a call or text, "Hey we need you to come back in to help with ____." Or, "Hey ____ changed and we need you to come back and get this 'extremely important info.'" ?

Has that, "important info," or, "problem that needed to be fixed," ever been not a problem at all, or that important of information that could've at least waited until the next day?

Today, both of those happened to me in different time frames while I was cleared to leave (both times) in the middle of ranked games. Obviously I get the lower priority queue time, but its things that are out of my control.

See, civilians don't realize that being in the military is a totally different world than a regular job. We have no set hours (at least in my job obviously). When we show up to work you wait until the boss tells you to leave, rather than waiting for the work to be done, or your schedule tells you that you can leave. Also, if you get called back in it's not an option. There are consequences way more painful, and severe than just a write up. Most civilian jobs even ask if you can cover down on someones shift if they are sick, kids are sick, what have you. In the military you can't tell your boss, "no I'm in the middle of a game of League right now, I'll get there when I can," YEAH RIGHT.

I'm also not trying to say my job is better than a civilian job. I've played League with buddies that got called in to go to work, and they got right up and left the game. Its not even about the job. It's just the fact that if something like that comes up, we have no choice. In the middle of a game is where it always gets me too. Just unlucky timing I guess.

So, I'm sitting here typing this while I'm waiting for my 20 minute Queue time to pop, wondering, has this happened to any of you guys before? If so, did you just charlie mike and wait those 5 games? Or was there something you e-mailed to Riot? This has happened to me before, but I'm getting really annoyed that it's happening because I have to show back up at work for whatever reason.

Thoughts, questions, and/or comments are all welcomed.... GG

My friend is in the Navy and I can 100% vouch for this. He doesn't leave a game unless he absolutely has to but when he gets called he's gone. People seem to be pretty chill about it, even randoms most of the time. It's unfortunate but you can't just say you're not going to play with them unless they promise they won't leave.

I don't really know how it works, but can't you just play while off-duty or on weekends or something?
