Leaving game during champion select?

I was switching my runes and masteries with ~5 seconds left in champ select, and finished with 1 second left and it said, "you have left during champion select." now I have a 5 minute queue wait time, and a puzzled look on my face. Has this happened to anyone before?

Yes, I was using the new beta client.
