For repeat offenses of things like AFKing, or for being extremely toxic.

actually xbox live, as well with PSN/Nintendo have some pretty harsh policy about this. its just the fact that most of the time people will not report these people! Same usually goes here!

that's completely a lie, xbox I know for a fact doesn't give a fuck and that's good! because everybody is happy playing because of it. riot encourages people to develop soft skin, and all anyone does on this game is report each other every game that's all that happens is someone reports one person and they report him back because they both said shit to each other but they will both be banned because of each others reports it makes no sense and the tribunal? my 5 year old sister came up with something better than that lmao what a joke...

Pretty sure that it has happened they ban hackers from Xbox live service.

Just trying to bring in a company that you pay money to play. For example xbox live. PSN doesn't require payments to play on the internet.

You can't permaban someone for being rude/afk. What I was saying about xbox is is that xbox cant ban people for being rude (because 90% of people on their are rude) or being afk in the middle of a game.

Hacking is the most logical one.

The only problem I have about it is when you pay money to buy skins. If I buy 300$ worth or Rp and get banned it doesn't make much sense. I know it's a free game but when you purchase in game things you technically "purchase" the game., therefore, they shouldn't be able to kick you from something you own. I do understand banning an account if the account is harming the game itself. Not the players, just the game.

there could be a number of reasoning!

-impersonating a Rioter/someone within the company -hacking into the system, or of other people accounts -credit card fraud/charge backs -i would think like devilish as stated afk/toxic but i would assume in those cases it would be like repeated offensive which would usually be dealt with first with chat bans/temp bans, and if those didnt work and its still a problem would only lead to getting your account permanently banned! This would probably go with Harassment as well -and i would think advertisement usually the people who spam bot others with websites who would think its would help with raising in ranks, or free RP.

There are tons of reasons! 4 of the cases i voted on when Tribunal was active were permabanned. All of them for ongoing toxicity. Every permaban has a certain year for its hypothetical duration. some are the year 2300, some 2400 etc... those are codes pointing at the violation the account was perma'd for.

My buddy just got his account permanently banned, was D5 and he got banned for scripting... he didn't even know what that meant. He had no warnings before hand...

LOL if you think running 3rd party programs is not cheating, you have bigger problems than getting banned. Does your firend think drop hacking is ok also?

I dont even think he was doing that honestly. I dont even know what drop hacking is also lol. He wouldnt have time for that, he is in the modst of moving between jobs, so hes been playing on hotel wifi xD

So drop hacking is not done by 1 machine, it is usually a service that you can find fairly cheep on line.

From your comments you seem to know very little about the game and things around the game. Creating a thread on his behalf is a little naive. You honestly do not know one way or another if your friend was cheating. You should of let him do something (like contact riot), if he was innocent.

Also a d5 should know what scripting is. Hell anyone that does any amount of pc gaming knows what a script is.

i got permabaned and i even put topic on that cuz i was defending my self so in any case i got 4 years of ''work'' on my acc gone just cuz i didint let idiots who flame me to shit on me :D there u go riot is rly lame with permabaning acc i could understand if they permaban chat that would be better i think WHY WOULD YOU even destroy so many years u put into acc gone just like that thats one big bs i will never understand
