Leaverbuster timer blocking out everything

So, when you leave a few games or something you get low priority queue. I have been through some low priority queues and it's pretty annoying how that timer blocks everything. I know this isn't really a major problem, but could you make the timer tick in the background or something? I want to be able to chat still and do stuff especially when I'm in queue'd up with friends and we're waiting for some random persons timer. I could easily solve this by not getting low priority queue.., but they should still have this feature. They actually have this for if you leave a champion select and your in a party with people, the timer will tick down in the background, why can't you add this to everything else, like a little tab at the bottom showing your low priority queue. Please. Don't hate on me either pls.
