I'm Quitting League of Legends

Dear whoever is reading this email at Riot Games,

I'd just like you to know, League of Legends has been my favorite online game for almost the past 3 years since I started playing it. Even tonight as I'm writing this post, I still love League of Legends. This isn't a post about someone quitting because of the community, or the balance changes, or because the game has gotten stale. I truly think League of Legends is a great game. I've played the game through a lot of frustrating times, and it's made me become close friends with people who I would've never gotten to know. League of Legends is a spectacular game and I applaud everyone at Riot for keeping the game amazing.

I'm quitting League of Legends, because in my life, it is no longer healthy for me to play the game. I'm currently trying to change my life for the positive in many different ways, and unfortunately, I can't do that and play League of Legends. I've thought about just playing it every so often, but I don't think it would work. I love the game too much that I would still devote too much of my time to it. And so, the only way to better my life is to give up my favorite video game.

I'd just like to thank you guys, for the last 3 years of great times. I finally made it into Platinum 5 about a week ago, and while it isn't super amazing, it's in the top 10% of players and that is good enough for me. I've been to the North American Finals at Madison Square Garden for the 2015 NA LCS Summer Finals, where I sat in the stadium cheering on CLG when all of my friends were cheering for TSM, just to see TSM get sweeped 3-0. I've watched plenty of games at home and studied every thing in the game and lots of its history. I think I've played a little over 3000 hours on League of Legends and I don't regret spending 550$ over the 3 years or spending so much time. I'll be attending the semifinals of worlds at Madison Square Garden too. I really do love League of Legends.
