In the last game I played as Maokai, the first game after 5.1 patch release , we were team fighting mid, when all the sudden my health bar and character became translucent. The enemy team couldn't target me, nor my own Lulu. I could still activate abilities and could still AA, but I couldn't be targeted. I don't know if this is a bug with just Maokai. I only had a ROA and the new Zz'Rot Portal. This lasted for a little less than a minute. Pls Fix.
I just had this happen to me. I assume this is an issue with his w. Nearing the end of my ARAM I w'd to an Anivia while she walled, I stopped mid way and was standing there, then my health bar was blurred as if I was untargettable. I could cast all spells except for any displacements. I was an indestructible turret at that point. Here is my match history. I got a penta. I just had a similar experience also with Mao kao.
I got pulled by blitz and become untargetable, but unable to move. I could still use spells and buy items but I spent the majority of my game as morale support for the team.
My health/mana bar and name were grey'd out.
Only items I had was glacial shroud
I had just finished a ranked game and the exact same thing happened to our Maokai. He was brought to low health after a fight and recalled inside the blue team red side jungle entrance bush (the one near the raptors). Afterwards started typing to us saying he couldn't move or do anything. Was not healing at the platform but still capable of casting his abilities. Edit: The bug occurred between the 22 and 24 minute mark, just prior to my dragon kill.
He is a tree after all... maybe he somehow transferred back to his original form!

Not this bullshit again, I thought we fixed this bug two seasons ago.
Let's hope a hot fix comes out for this; potentially game breaking for anyone playing the tree.
Why are people so dumb, instead of report it abuse it until it gets fixed, a friend of mine did the same with the 
bug and we won shit tons of games..
