A gay man weighs in on the Fiora debacle

The new Fiora splash and models are bad. Fiora by nature is sexy. Sexy because she is smart, sassy and a fencing prodigy. As a fencer, you would normally wear relatively form fitting clothes. But she's never had egregious cleavage or any need to be "sexed up". She is sexy because of who she is, not because she's trying to be sexy. The new splash actually makes her look even less like she has a spine.

Women can be smart and sexy. It's possible!

The face is wrong. Is she an evil Disney villain? Did she lose a bet and that's why she has those eyebrows? Why is it all so severe? severe middle part, severe cheek bones, severe pursed lips.

Flower petals? Why are there flower petals or confetti floating around the splash art? Did she just kill a piñata? Is this meant to "fem" her up? If so, it's very offensive. Simply adding some flower petals to a splash to make it "girly" or "fem" is gross.

A tip to Riot: Middle parts are ugly, unfashionable and should not be used in splash art for any character. Also, why change her dyed bangs from red to violet?

You very easily could have made minor tweaks to her amazing original splash art and saved yourselves from this backlash. I've been saying this for years, but Riot should hire me, a gay man with a writing and game design background, to give these things a bit of styling and a critical eye, as well as provide lifestyle counseling for pro LCS players who desperately need to get their interviewing skills and hair/clothes styling improved.

and why did you have to mention your sexual orientation? you could have written all that just the same. Should i write before every post i make: "A heterosexual's view on"...? I really don't understand! do you really think that because you are gay, you have an edge on fashion, styling and critical eye? and you feel because you are gay that qualifies you as a counselor? man you are sexist!!!

or, another possibility is that you just bought into the two decade long media push that tries to convince the public that heteros are dumb brutes who have no fashion sense and lack empathy and do not understand women. pffft.

A true fencers outfit is not form fitting it is a padded piece of shit that does not flatter the person wearing it in the least. You people complaining about this art and/or model when you yourself probably couldn't draw/model your own way out of a paper bag is the real travesty here.
