Mana Bar Visualization

So i can see how much mana i have, and how much mana an ability costs, and i can do the math. I think it would be useful though if after selecting an ability the mana bar had a gray portion to show you how much mana it will deduct before you actually cast it (if you're using smart cast then idk) so you can more easily gauge mana costs. Would also work with energy and such. What do you guys think?

they cant really do that because once you start using quick cast you will understand why.

It just seems unnecessary. And the issue with having too much clarity is that eventually it starts to feel like clutter. If they keep adding color modifiers to your bars it'll just become too much.
