Is it just me or is Nasus suddenly more popular?
Been seeing him a lot in my recent games, wonder why he's popped up all of a sudden..

new masteries giving him a lot of sustain probably have to do something with it. also the fact he can 2 shot towers now probably.
Contrary to popular belief, Nasus is strongest in the mid-game before proper teamfights begin occuring (in which he is susceptible to kiting) and before penetration items have been built (so he's much harder to kill).
In addition, Nasus is quite good at holding his tower against many opponents due to his durability, his sustain, and how dangerous it can be to dive him. While he may not threaten his opponents tower in the early game, he can stop many of them from taking his. His early-game, though lacking kill pressure, is quite safe.
The buffs to Iceborn Gauntlet and Spirit Visage and the introduction of Deadman's Plate late last season have helped too.
New masteries are pretty nice on him. Especially Grasp of the Undying for better sustain and damage in short trades.
