Pick Order vs Team Effectiveness
While toiling away at ranked and trying to get more than 30 LP, (nearly always falling back to 0 like some hellish roller coaster of wasted efforts) I often come across someone who is devoted to "Pick Order".
My opinion of this is simple, yet impossible for most to grasp: Pick Order is nothing more than a tool used by those first in line for a champion to score their favored lane, and like a syndrome, people latch onto this like a spreading virus as though this is something logical. It isn't, and never was, because Ranked is first and foremost AN ACTUAL TEAM-BASED MATCH. Teams are those who have synergy, which comes from having a role they are good at, not a role they end up ruining a side's chances of victory. Every time I am on the first pick, whoever calls a lane first is the one who gets it, and that's how it should be. This statement I can back with the solid assumption that one does not call for a role they don't feel 100% up to.
Pick Order doesn't usually affect me, since I always call for Mid or Support. Its just the domineering aspect of it I can't stand.
