Alistar ability modificatio

I think that Alistar is a very good champ. he can be played in many different roles. but I think that his abilities should also be able to scale off of attack damage. so I don't know what everyone else thinks but I think that it would open up of new world of options for him.

Why? He already scales off AP. Making him a hybrid would cripple his itemization options drastically.
