Help naming this Guitar Chord?

It's an Am chord with pinky on the e (1st string).

I have tried to find the name for it, but the closest chord i have to it is a Am/G; however, that is a G bass, this is on the 1st, so it isn't a G bass

help?

So, is it this? [(http://jguitar.com/images/chordshape/A-Minor-G-3,0,2,2,1,0.png)] EDIT: FML, I don't know how to links on here. Here's the tab for it E A D G B e 3-0-2-2-1-0

Almost, the only difference is this: E A D G B e X-0-2-2-1-3

It is an Am7

I thought that too, but Am7 is really up there on the fret board.

I thought it was like an Amadd9 type of thing. I really don't know.

There isn't just one way to play a chord. 0-2-2-0-0-0 is just as much Em as 7-7-9-9-8-7

When you add the 3rd fret on the first string to an Am, you are adding a G, which is the 7th note in the Am scale. That makes it an Am7 or Am7b in case of some scales.

And it can also be done like this: x-0-2-0-1-0 Though I admit adding the 7th (G) in the first string is fun and you can play with it turning it into Am add6 just changing the first string to 2

I understand the different ways to make a chord, I just thought the Am7 was different. Thanks for your help.
