Thoughts on the changes

So i've almost never been bothered to write on the forums because I've always thought riot did an exceptional job with balance and the design direction of the game (Even if it seemed bad I could tell the direction they were headed and the problems they were trying to address)

My problems currently is that my normal game experience has been significantly worse since these changes.

I can no longer ranked 5s with my teammates of several years. One has a lot of time to play and is diamond and I am unranked despite being a similar skill level merely because I haven't had the time to play solo queu ranked (nor do I enjoy it) in a long time. Our team that brought us together is gone, which not only makes it more difficult to manage but removes any sense of cohesion. These complaints are all over the forums so I digress to my other topic.

The new draft mode is really awkward. For those of us who actually communicated before it was quite common to have people dynamically shift character during blind pick to match everyone elses choices and make a balanced team in terms of physical vs magic, squish vs tank etc. This added a lot to the game for me because I would see an Amumu (for example) and change my support to Nami or Sona for the combo plays. Now people are inclined just to go with there pre-selected champ and not care at all about team. And it's not even always possible to change because there are staggered picks.

While I agree the new draft mode cuts down on botters, trolls, etc. I almost never got those in my games (excluding solo ranked queu) and it punishes people who communicated and tried to have group synergy before.
