If you're going to complain about people complaining...

...at least have a fair understanding WHY they're complaining, as well as a minor difference between just whining and actually criticizing. I've seen so many discussions of just people saying "riot isnt perfect !!1!!!" and "people complain until they get used to the changes!1!!!" But like, here's the thing;

**Most people who are criticizing the game beyond just saying "this thing is stupid!!!" are aware of various obvious things, those things being:

  1. Riot is not a perfect company.
  2. Riot cannot listen to every individual player.
  3. We will get used to large changes over time.
  4. Riot is not going to change something just because one person doesn't like it.**

The players who acknowledge these things aren't complaining simply because they don't like something. They are complaining because they feel something is poorly balanced, something makes little sense, or that a decision Riot has made is negatively effecting them as well as other players. No one expects Riot to see one discussion made on the boards and immediately decide, "Oh, this person is 100% right! Gosh golly! I better fix this right away!" When people keep these things in mind while complaining or criticizing things within League, they're not whining because they expect Riot to be some god-like company, because that's far from the truth. They're whining because they expect a certain level of quality. They expect a certain level of attention to be paid to some issues that even Rioters may have acknowledged. They're not planning for Riot to fix this bug or balance this champion or bring back this thing on the snap of a finger. They're just letting people know that this is what they think or why this is dumb or should be fixed.

Everyone knows at this point who's spent a fair amount of time paying attention to the League community is pretty aware that Riot is poor at properly communicating with their player base. Riot is also poor at delivering occasional wants that require more than just bringing back a legacy skin. I can't think of many instances where the League community has asked for something somewhat significant within the game, whether it could even effect gameplay or not, that Riot has actually worked to make that happen. People have been asking for a snowy Summoners Rift for Snow Day, didn't happen. People have been asking for Baron to eat Rift Herald on despawn, didn't happen. Riot shows little concern over the wants of their players, albeit a lot of things players want are petty. While no one is expecting Riot as a whole to sit down and acknowledge our every whim, at least acknowledge some of the big issues within the game currently? For instance, unorganized teams being put on the same level as organized 5s? Thunderlords dominating every mastery pick right now? Champions like Rengar who've been acknowledged for having unhealthy gameplay as of currently?

People are going to complain just to complain, and if they do, let 'em. That's not your issue and you don't have to give that person the time of day. However there's a fair difference between complaining and actually expecting Riot to recognize issues within the game and do something about them. Riot isn't perfect, but it is a company, and a certain level of quality is expected with that. People who know this are going to call it out, and unless Riot gets off their high horse to acknowledge mistakes they've made and do something about them, people are going to keep complaining.

Sorry.

TL;DR: Not everyone who is complaining is complaining based solely on their own wants, but instead criticizing based on a level of quality expected for Riot to show. Riot isn't perfect but they need to stop acting too prideful to acknowledge their mistakes.

The new system is fine in all regards except the retarded 4-5 man premades you'll find. If they just change this, everything would be perfect(at least imo) because right now, SoloQ might as well not exist anymore.
