To everyone whining about feminazis and SJWs regarding Kai'sa...

It's not a feminist issue or some SJW issue. It's a problem with character design, and if you don't care about the varying aspects of character design and take whatever is presented to you at face value, that is fine. I don't doubt there are some people following the typical SJW or feminist mindset simply to preach against Kai'sa, but that isn't why the negativity surrounding her exists, and those negative people shouldn't be used to summarize the actual debate over it. Kai'sa is getting criticized not because cleavage is an issue but because she's meant to be a character who's survived this grueling environment and has been fighting her whole life, but rather than that being displayed in her design, she is instead Scarlet Jo look alike with no semblance of struggle in her life. TB Skyen has some pretty great videos regarding character design, and if you are actually interested in a real discussion or the various aspects of character design, I suggest going through some of his videos

"This has been my problem with Kai'sa from day one is that no part of her character design communicates the lore that Riot says they want her to have. They say they want a desperate scrabbling survivor living on their wits and willpower just barely out maneuvering her enemies - this is communicated in her kit ... she has this risk and reward mechanic that should mean she should've taken some injuries maybe, she should have some scars, or some battle damage, or be dirty from rolling around in the dirt - something should be there to tell us this person isn't a comfortable well off supermodel who's like recovering from her next appearance in a Marvel movie, but someone who has spent their entire lives on the run and fighting."

But anyways, keep running around insulting people I guess. [sg-miss-fortune]

Wow someone with a well written response outside of "haha SJW's are so stupid".

Kai'Sa's concept art looks dope, but her splash art and current model, are very bland and don't deliver. She has minimal distinguishing characteristics. If you told me if she was a skin for one of the countless other interchangeable female ADC's I wouldn't question it. Just another pretty girl.

The void is presented as this real messed up place. You got monsters like Cho'Gath and Kha'zix that kill just cause. Then you got Malzahar and Kassadin as some prime examples of people who've associated with the void. Then you got Kai'Sa wearing lip gloss and eyeliner.

I like tits. Tits are great. Akali got some fine side boob while Ahri got some juicy ones popping out front. But Kai'Sa I'd expect something a little more badass than what her design is. Hey I guess it gives an excuse for Kai'Sa cosplayers to display their tits. I'm not complaining there.

yeah this mentality of 'suck it SJWs we like titties and so should you' is so juvenile and shameful. i can't believe how many threads we've had over the last week make it to the front page saying essentially that. this has been one of the worst circlejerks in recent memory imo.

anyways, it isn't even the issue at hand and doesn't even relate to what riot said initially. the real issue is as stated, that she's grown up in a entropic, lovecraftian -flesh-horror-fest that is supposed to warp and twist your very being but instead comes out looking fairly normal and with a huge v neck that exposes her vulnerable neck and collarbone. the fuck?

Consistency is really important when it comes to design. Well, her outfit is just one part of the issue. Personally, with the flaws of her outfit, it's actually her inconsistency towards her racial features. She's supposed to be Shuriman (Middle East ppl), as a tribe girl, yet, she's just Scarlet Johansson... Like, it makes no sense. Still, there's too much to say about it. There are some issues in their designing process; but at the same time it's great and high quality... I think it would be a cool idea to see devs justifying their actual work on the process and the choices made on things. Sharing what led them to do this or that. I mean, Irelia for instance share the same issue on her racial features. She became "white" while being asian. It's really weird and it can actually be seen on a prior version of her splashart. So... Those details matter when you are creating a world with consistency.

It never meant that they couldn't make things "attractive", because ofc it sells and it never hurts ( wink Taric ), but it has to be consistent.. even more when the lore is actually evolving so much etc.

Ive seen literally no threads complaing about it.

I have seen like 400 threads complaing about the nonexistent complainers though.

Plz stop.

The only complaint I've seen about her model that makes sense is the fact she has makeup on.

Other then that though the fact she has the void skin protecting her skin is probably why she has no scars or visible injuries, and even if that's not the case there's nothing saying that the suit can't heal them

You also have to remember usually her whole body is covered by the suit

I just can't find these 'SJW' posts Riot is suposed to be apologizing for.

I even tried Tumblr, the SJW Mothership, and here's what it gave me back...
