Ideally you want to do this as an AD carry since the marksman class are all late game carries and hyper carries so you have a large pool of champions to use or to main. Outside of bot lane you only have a few hard scaling late game champs. Kayle, whom I used to get to Silver 5, Azir, Yasuo and Nasus. There might be more but the marksman class has the most.

However, as you suspected the top lane is the best lane to do this from since it's the most passive. Bot lane is pure madness in Bronze but if you can manage to last hit like a god through all the ganks, 4 man dives and all that shit then it's by far the best lane.

No. The reality is that going to help is the worst thing you can do. There's no way I can say this without sounding elitist or sounding like an asshole but most Bronze players are morons. I'm sorry but there it is. You go to help with the intention of gaining an advantage, especially when you are at a disadvantage, and you're gonna have bad time. They will die, you will die and your allies are all gonna blame you and each other. I started this season struggling to get past Bronze 5. It took me nearly the whole year before I learned enough to get to Silver so I know what I'm talking about.

The idea behind my little strategy is to take advantage of Bronze players' number one weakness, farming. They are so terrible at farming that even when fed, you can farm up an advantage over them. Going back to my point about not helping your team, you only want to help them when you or your team have some kind of advantage. An advantage large enough that it's pretty hard to fuck up. When you outfarm everybody, it gives you a chance at carrying feeding team mates because you will have an advantage over the fed enemies. So when your allies inevitable fuck up in a skirmish or teamfight, you will be rolling out of that fight with a tripple or a quadra easy.

Now, you won't win every game with this but based on my experience, you should have a 80% winrate in B5-B4, about 60% from B3-B1 and around 50% in B1 and low Silver. In Silver 5-4 it kinda stops working because most carry lanes farm pretty damn good so you get no inherent advantage over someone who is both farmed and fed. I haven't figured out how to carry Silver games yet.

Here's a replay that perfectly demonstrates this from a recent game of mine where I had a feeding bot lane and top lane. Me and the jungler were able to carry that shit hard.
