My parents bought this stupid Smart TV

Whenever it's on, it raises my ping to 600 like is it broken or something? All they do is watch Youtube and btw I'm 100% sure it's not broke it's just made poorly. My brother was downloading 2 games at once and my ping would go to 250 but this god damn thing is stupid as balls and they play 1 Youtube video at like 360p and this happens.

If you or anybody using your Wi-Fi is thinking of buying this thing and they play games competitively, don't buy it OR don't play League while it's on. I really recommend not buying it there's no point.

Well my wifi is so shit that my sister watching youtube on her cell can turn my ping to 2k.

Stuff like this is why I'm just paying for my own separate connection at home.

That way, I don't have to worry about what other people are doing.

Smart TVs lost their appeal when I realized a $35 Chromecast could make any decent TV a smart TV.

Hmm, I stream Netflix on my Samsung Smart TV and still get the same ~40 ping that I normally get, with no spikes. On wireless with my TV also wireless. Not sure what you're specific issue is. I can have Netflix streaming on my TV, on my Xbox in the other room, and WiFis on on both me and my gf's phones and get perfect connection still (yes, she likes to leave TVs on -_- ).
