Riot, thanks for the dominion icon, but...

Why couldn't we have had it at the end of season 5? Or season 4? Or 3? Or 2? Dominion has been around for over 4 years and the only reward we ever got is when it's leaving. I get that ranked wouldn't have worked (despite being told it was coming since the mode came out), but as far as I'm aware there has never been any incentive to play on the most visually out of date map, and no reward for improving other than longer queue times.

Part of this is bitter ranting, but part is a serious question. We, the community, were asked what other things, not ranked, we would like. We gave answers, but got no feedback or rewards added in the year since it was asked. Why is it only now that we get anything at all? Was an icon for 100 wins in a season too much?
