Avoid toxic players

There should be an "avoid this player" option that makes matchmaking avoid matching you up with people you dont want to play with again.

No good for Ranked, as this can and will be abused to hell and back at Diamond and Challenger tier. This could be good for Normals and ARAMs though.

They need to add a "Report Button" for refusing to communicate in champion select, its rather annoying when players do not talk at all, and even sometimes it creates massive toxicity, and I have dodged games already today because of it.

I will give a perfect example of the most common problem that throws off games.

Lets take an example in champion select there are 5 players, someone has "Pick Order" which is true, but lets say for example someone who is 4th pick communicates says I am going "X Champion Mid" Your first pick agrees with the choice and locks a combo champion or something that works great with it, meanwhile Second Pick says nothing, but then just locks a champion and goes mid after not saying anything at all.

Then the second most common problem are players who do not communicate when asked "What champion is being played", especially for ADC / Support role, I am seeing a lot of this toxic experience the person doesn't communicate, I ask what rune set they are running, still no communication composition gets thrown off as a result, not a word at all.

This is a perfect example of what is going on, and why we need a way to Dodge, and report players at champion select without waiting 30 minutes and losing LP after first dodge.

Pick Order is meant to be a last resort when settling discussions - this is why we are endorsing it and not mandating it. Communication and collaboration are still the most important things when it comes to playing ranked games, and we hope players will continue to uphold the Summoner's Code in all of their matches. If you refuse to communicate with your team and rely only on Pick Order to determine your role selection, you are still being a toxic player and this will reflect negatively upon you

The third problem we need to look at is champion bans, possibly allowing all players on a team to chose a ban rather than just someone banning all champions to make this more of a team game, have had some players troll banning and throwing off compositions that way, but this isn't as big of an issue as the first two problems.

i agree, but riot has stated multiple times that they dont want to create a 'prisoners island' for toxic players which is what this feature would inevitably lead to.

A better way: When you report someone, it blocks you from matching with them for 24 hours. That way, you can't abuse it to hell. If you report someone more than 3 times, it doesn't take your vote into consideration anymore so it can't be abused.

There should be a turn off chat function so you aren't tempted to call the guy who is feeding and trolling an asshole before the game starts. Otherwise the troll will report you.

good idea. I will put an 'avoid' on all bad players and eventually ill have only good teammates

This would be amazing for normal games. of-course you couldn't use it in ranked but i agree, we need this badly for normals.

That's how reports work on HotS and it's much better than how they work in League. No unfair punishments, no ethical questions, simply click the button and never get matched up with the flamer/troll/bad player again.

YESSS! I so agree, league should have that option.

People would abuse this, it's why it was never put in.
