And this is why adcs should be required to learn the support role. Once you've experienced the frustration of an adc who refuses to use their yellow trinket, you'll NEVER let yours sit idle again.

if i have a choice...and my support does their job...i dont back until i can get my BF sword (or whatever item i plan to back for) a health pot (if needed) AND a ward of somekind...or at least i try really hard too and i almost always upgrade my trinkit for Mo'wards

Are you kidding me? I may be in Bronze 3 but when someone says "Hey you should buy this next to no-cost upgrade that can make you win the game", I'll be all over that. I don't really have a main role but no matter where I go, I always get that trinket upgrade at level 10, if not level 9.

Yea, when we're 20 minutes in and I'm the only one who upgraded their trank -.-

Or the rare games when I don't play support and I notice the support player doesn't have sweeper (nor does the jungler).

Just drop the pink where you'd expect the enemy team to ward, odds are they didn't anyways and you at least setup some vision for your own team...

I'd rather have the wards tbh. You can't depend on anyone else to ward where you want to, and you can always carry around a pink for the objective contesting. Only reason I'd go sweeper is if I'm playing a champ that gets outsmited easily Fiddlesticks Nautilus because you can throw down the sweeper at the last moment to deny vision of the smite steal.

I beat my supports warding totals when I jungle normally, and try to remind others to ward as well. It helps when Jungle roams the map by design and can just place them on their way XD

I also heavily counter jungle so I need the deep vision >.>

I don't know what elo you play at, but I'm currently battling through gold. I would definitely prefer the upgraded yellow over the scanner in my elo bracket. Generally speaking, nobody upgrades their trinkets and sometimes the support isn't skilled at roaming/warding. This leaves me with the responsibility of putting down my 2 wards from the upgrade and keeping scuttles in control.

I grab sightstone pretty often when jungling, so if I upgrade to the Pink ward trinket I get to make sure to have 3 stealth + 1 vision at pretty much all times.

120 second cd vs 75 second cd is a pretty big difference but when you never find any wards with the oracles anyways, the vision makes so much more of a difference.

I play vs Golds/silvers generally so yeah in the same boat XD

Gold elo/plat mmr here.

Used to do this all the time; now, sometimes my team wards and sometimes they don't -- if they don't, pink is definitely better. If they do, upgraded sweeper is nice because it lets you clear two brushes at once in some places. But yeah, even when they do ward, people often don't upgrade their trinkets.

It's frustrating, but I believe the cause is that they aren't in item sets. Out of sight, out of mind. Want to become a better warder? Make an item set with wards and an upgraded trinket (doesn't even need to be the one you like most) front and center.

Not even worried about adc up grading trinket, just maybe drop it in the river if you're gonna push the wave up at level 4 and you know mine is down and we haven't backed yet. Plz? Pretty plz? Oh wait, no, that is udyr walking into lane and blowing summoners bc we had no ward and are at turret. Def worth not dropping your yellow so you don't miss 1 cs

I main adc in bronze, and always make sure to either upgrade my trinket at lv 10, or get the blue. And I always buy a pink for our tribush. XD

As a person who plays support the most during ranked, I love it when an adc does this

I haven't played a whole ton of ranked but I've had the most success with support Nunu who really need their ADC ahead in order to be effective because you don't snowball at all and your W is pointless when their feeding.

At least the ADC helping with vision is one thing that takes pressure off my back

Then I can make lvl 6 flash ult plays with out being counterganked :)

Ever since adcs started using the blue trink, they seem to have forgotten they have the yellow one, except maybe to ward a lane bush. It's actually pretty surprising if one of them ever wards the river.

Yesterday I was supporting my cousin who hasnt played in a few months, and we got in lane, where once the enemy warded our brush, I sweeped the ward. He saw that I took sweeper and he was so pissed because he thought adc was supposed to get sweeper. He supposedly never sees supports take red trinket

Even better when we sync our ward trinkets to keep the bottom bushes visible at all times. None of this 'You ward top, I'll ward bottom bush, then we have no vision of either one for a minute!'
