Provisional Matches

Has anyone actually moved upwards from the provisional matches? I was in Gold I, provisional match last year put me down to Silver... This year, provisional match put me into Bronze. When someone plays solo Q, they cannot help whenever someone either quits playing or calls something and constantly suicides. That actually happened in my last game, I was vayne and my support dove and died a ton of times and I continued to try and was continuously insta-killed. I mean.. Forreal. These provisional matches completely fuck me over every time and it is getting a little annoying to get up to top of Gold I, only to be dropped back to Silver after the provisional matches. Then almost back to gold and dropped into Bronze.. I am not sure if anyone else is bothered by this... Either way, wanted to bring it up. Btw, I should bring up that I only play a few times a week and that is why I am moving up ranks so slowly.
