Loss Prevented?

Is it possible to see when someone got loss prevention in a past ranked game? Does it just say "Defeat" or not show at all?

I'm a bit confused. I did a ranked game yesterday and It said Loss Prevented. I let my teamates know but one said they got "Defeat". I recently checked their profile and match list. There is no recording of that game at all but some current games they had. Yet I looked at my other teamate's match history, found our game under "Defeat".

I go back to look at mine but it still says "Loss Prevention".

How does this work? The only person having game problems was our top laner so I guess the Loss Prevention was ok.
