Why can't the bots that ban people tell Lag from RAGE!

Should it be able to know if a player has had a latency spike and was removed from the game compared to someone who has been tpying negative words and has just left the game?

Or from someone who pressed the Yes button compared to someone who left mid teamfight?

Bungie was able to do the second option back in Halo 3, 7 years ago. So there has to be a way to tell the difference between lag and RAGE! Just wondering if it would be possible for Riot to do something like it.

I main reason i ask this is because i got a bugsplat being forced out of the client and when I rejoined the game i was forced to do the i agree terms. I just turned off my computer because i don't agree to those terms. I won't be punished for the PBE having a issues.

How would you tell the difference between someone whose internet went down and someone who turned off his router?

It can tell the difference. When you purposefully leave a match you have to click a button acknowledging the fact that you can be punished and Riot uses this button to ban people that leave. If you disconnect or your game crashes you never accept the "I might be punished for leaving" button so you won't get in trouble.
