Seriously ppl
I have had the worst string of games lately. Every game someone is trying to bait someone into cursing, and using reports as a bullying tool. This system has made the game exponentially more toxic.
If I play adc, my supp will often not support at all. If I say anything about it, they will steal cs and report me for typing in a manner that isn't consistent with a disney movie.
I literally just got reported for saying that the report function is making the game worse. The fizz said "I think bad behavior like that shouldn't go unpunished." Really? Where the fuck am I? Lala land?
You literally can't say anything in the nanny-state that is this game. Shouldn't bans be reserved for the harshest of language? If telling someone who builds ad ahri that she's useless gets a permaban, then idk what the fuck to do except not type at all. Can I take the chat option off of my client?
My parents used to tell me to "fight my own battles." I think the kids playing this game need a hard lesson in growing the fuck up. If you fuck up at a job, nobody gives a shit about your feelings, you will be fired. They may use harsh language. Call the cops, see if they give a fuck.
It sucks to be competitive in nature, play a competitive game, and have ppl ruin it and claim that "they are having fun." So it doesn't matter that I am not having fun trying to carry ad ahri? If you claim your own fun is more important than the 4 other ppl in your game's, you should just go play a singleplayer game.
I'm bronze 1. I climbed fast from bronze 4, and would like to keep climbing. I can't play ranked though, for fear of getting banned for saying "negative" things. The fun is in the competition for me. If you don't care, and just "want to have fun" (and apparently missed the irony in Cyndi Lauper's tune) then why are you playing a competitive game. There are so many other games where your ability to have fun won't be hindered by teammates that want to win. Why not play minecraft? Dragon Age, Fallout, Borderlands, Path of Exile, etc... I know why. The truth is that they have fun pissing off other people, and then saying "why so serious?"
My next ban will probably be a perma. I've been working on not typing at all, but it's hard when you get 3 straight games of trolls. Then after you deal with trolls, you get a warning message about toxicity. Seriously, the persons causing the problem are the problem, not the person talking about the problem.
I also play ff14. I've literally never had a negative chat interaction. Even through multiple raid wipes, people always tend to be nice. There isn't a heavily pushed report function, so if someone rages ppl tend to just ignore them. Know what the funny thing is? 9 times out of 10 a few minutes later they will apologize and everyone is fine. Nobody goes and kills themselves. Nobody is scarred for life. Go figure.
